Open Analytics Account Deletion

Public deletion-request resource for Open Analytics, the mobile app published by Data Sailors Private Limited. Use it to request deletion of your app account and associated personal data.

How to Request Deletion

  1. Email ops@datasailors.io with the subject line “Open Analytics account deletion request”.
  2. Include your full name, organisation, registered email address, and confirm the request is for the Open Analytics app.
  3. State whether you want: account deletion, personal data deletion, or both.
  4. If requesting on behalf of an organisation, include proof of authorisation or contact your organisation administrator.

What Happens Next

  • We verify your identity or confirm the request with your customer administrator.
  • We review data tied to your account in authentication, support, notification, and application systems.
  • Where legally and contractually permitted, we delete or anonymise eligible personal data.
  • We confirm completion or explain any data categories that must be retained and for how long.

What Is Deleted

  • Open Analytics app account access and associated authentication records that can be removed from active systems.
  • Profile-level data such as name, email, phone, role mapping, saved preferences, and device notification registrations.
  • Support-side personal data linked only to your user account, where deletion is legally and operationally permitted.

What May Be Kept

  • Operational telemetry, alarms, audit trails, and infrastructure event history belonging to the customer environment.
  • Security, fraud-prevention, incident-response, billing, and legal compliance records that must be retained.
  • Minimal request-handling records showing that a deletion request was received and processed.

Typical Retention Periods

  • Account & profile data — deleted or anonymised as soon as reasonably possible after verification and approval.
  • Support records — may be kept for up to 180 days after closure for audit and service-quality purposes.
  • Operational / legal records — retained per customer contract terms, compliance needs, or applicable law.

Important Note

Deleting an account may remove access to dashboards, alerts, saved preferences, device subscriptions, and customer-specific app features. If the same identity is managed by a customer administrator, some access data may first need to be removed by that organisation before final deletion can be completed.
